What's new at the Museum at FIT

This Tuesday, 8 May, a book signing and discussion regarding New York Fashion:

A booksigning and discussion with Sonnet Stanfill


Victoria & Albert Museum's curator of contemporary fashion, Sonnet Stanfill, will discuss her new book and coinciding exhibition, New York Fashion. The book features the work of Miguel Adrover, Thom Browne, Sean "Diddy' Combs, Derek Lam, Maggie Norris, Alexandre Plokhov for Cloak, Zac Posen, Behnaz Sarafpour, Proenza Schouler, and Three as Four.

Also, graduate students in the Textiles Studies: History program present their work , this time focusing on Fashion Journalism.

History, Theory, Museum Practice Symposium

Focus on Fashion Journalism

Editors, writers, art directors, web designers, illustrators, photographers, and models all create the first draft of fashion history. Graduate students in the Fashion and Textile Studies: History, Theory, Museum Practice program present original research on the people who have made fashion news, from the 17th century to the present.
